Thaikhun | Videography
The casual Thai dining brand, Thaikhun, exploded onto the UK restaurant scene in 2014. Its vibrant look and feel mirrors its fun approach to traditional Thai street food, and it’s a popular destination for friends, families and groups.
Thaikhun faced a challenge in 2016 – a large redevelopment of its kids proposition was underway, and they needed to bring the campaign to life. Their ultimate goal was to increase the number of kids menu orders, and attract young families to its restaurants.
Natural Selection Design filmed Thaikhun’s family focus group sessions and menu tasting events. We did this in collaboration with, and featured in, the National Geographic Kids magazine. We conducted interviews with parents and the kids and captured the energy of the day.
We were chuffed to work alongside the National Geographic Kids team, and even more pleased to learn that the campaign achieved:
- A 548% increase in kids meal orders between August 2015-August 2016
- 669 kids meals were sold in July 2015. One year on, it rose to 4,340
- Thaikhun won the Eat Out award for Best Marketing & Social Media Campaign 2016 category
